Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) — The south Korean Council of Youth Organisations (Hanchong) reportedly called a press conference in front of the Seoul District Court on July 11, calling for withdrawal of the label of “enemy-benefiting organization” from Hanchong and abolition of the “national security law”.
At the press conference speakers stressed that it is unpardonable to put the label of “enemy-benefiting” on a patriotic youth organization by dint of the anachronistic rules of the NSL which describes the north as an “anti-state organization”, an “enemy”.
They charged that the security authorities’ crackdown on Hanchongryon (the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils), the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification and Hanchong on charges of forming enemy-benefiting organizations is an anti-national, anti-reunification action.
If the security authorities put the label of an “enemy-benefiting organization” on Hanchong on the strength of the NSL, they will be judged by history, they warned.
A press release, which was read out, stressed that the NSL should be abolished at an early date and more damage by the evil law should not occur.
