Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) — Mun Kyong Jin, DPRK winner of international concours, presented his violin solo at the 11th Kaneti International Music Festival, to the high acclaim of the audience.
The festival is an event to be participated in by winners of the annual Kaneti International Violin Concours, world famous violinists and noted professors.
The recent festival was held in France on July 14 and 15. Mun was the only violinist to be invited there from among the winners of last year’s concours. The festival also drew famous professors and musicians of conservatories and music schools of France, Russia, Germany, Italy and Turkey.
Mun successfully played musical works of Bach, Paganini and Tchaikovsky requiring high talent for one and half hours in the first day of the festival, winning a high acclaim of the audience.
Prof. Ivanov of Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory said:
Promising Korean violinist Mun mesmerized all those present with his high talent. He could emerge a famous violinist in such short period of time under the loving care of leader Kim Jong Il who brought his talent into bloom and made him known to the world.
The appearance of such world famous violinist is the result of the literary and art policy and the policy of training talents pursued by the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Renowned professors of Italy, France and other countries who participated in the festival, sincerely congratulated him, saying in unison that his recital earned him world fame as a violinist of rare gift.
