Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) — Floral baskets were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
Seen in front of the statue was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army.
Placed before the statue amid the playing of the floral basket-laying music were floral baskets in the name of the party and power organs, social organizations, ministries, national institutions and institutions, enterprises, factories, farms and schools of all levels in Pyongyang, bouquets and flowers.
Written on the ribbons of the floral baskets were letters “The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Will Live Forever,” “The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Will Always Be with Us” and “The Great Revolutionary Exploits of the Respected Leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung Is Immortal!”
Floral baskets were also laid before statues of the President at Kim Il Sung University, the Korean Film Studio, the Pyongyang Schoolchildren’s Palace and other units in Pyongyang.
People from all walks of life and school youth and children across the country placed floral baskets and bouquets before statues of the President in their residential areas and paid high tribute to him.
