Floral Baskets Placed before Monument to Victory in Fatherland Liberation War

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) — Floral baskets were laid before the Monument to Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War Thursday on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present at the floral basket-laying ceremony were Kim Il Chol, Yang Hyong Sop, officials of the party and power organs, working people’s organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army and working people in the city.

Amid the playing of the floral basket-laying music a floral basket was placed before the statue “Victory,” the main theme of the monument, in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Then floral baskets were placed there in the name of the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, KPA unit, educational, public health and media organizations and party and power organs, institutions and enterprises in Pyongyang.

Written on the ribbons of the floral baskets were letters “Victory and Glory to the Officers and Men of the Heroic Korean People’s Army!”

The Military Attaches Corps here also laid a floral basket there on the same day.
