Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) — A meeting took place at the Central Palace of Culture on July 26 under the sponsorship of the Mongolia-Korea Friendship Society to mark the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung’s Mongolia visit and the 53rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
On display in the venue of the meeting were photos showing the revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the struggle of the Korean people for the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist country.
Ch. Surenjav, chairman of the society, addressing the meeting, said that the Mongolia visit paid by Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, was a historic event which recorded a brilliant chapter in the development of the friendly relations between the two countries.
The Mongolian people set store by the friendship with the Korean people and strive to boost it.
The Korean people have creditably protected the dignity of the country from the pressure and offensive of the imperialist allied forces, pursuant to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il, faithful successor to the cause of the President.
The cause of the President will be immortal and the friendly relations between the two countries will steadily grow stronger in the future.
At the end of the meeting, the participants enjoyed a performance given by the Pyongyang schoolchildren’s art troupe.
