Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) — DPRK wrestler Ri Se Ung bagged a gold medal at the Greco-Roman 42 kg category of the 2014 Asian Junior Wrestling Championship which started in Thailand from Thursday.
The championship brought together more than 300 boy and girl wrestlers from 23 countries and regions including the DPRK, Iran and Uzbekistan.
He defeated his Uzbekistan rival 8:0, Indian rival by fall and the player of Taipei of China 10:0 before advancing into finals.
He trounced his Iranian rival by fully displaying his special skill, diverse technique and strong fighting spirit to catch a gold medal.
Meanwhile, DPRK wrestler Ro Yong Jin snatched a bronze medal at the Greco-Roman 50 kg category event.
