Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) — Rice-transplanting now goes on in co-op farms of the DPRK.
With this rice-transplanting season, the Korean people recall the devoted efforts made by President Kim Il Sung to realize the Juche method of farming.
It was a sleet day of February Juche 62 (1973) when the President visited a cooperative farm in Samsok District, Pyongyang.
Going round farm fields, he acquainted himself in detail with the reasons why last year’s farming came to failure.
One of the main factors was disobedience to the requirements of the Juche farming method, which led to the failure to grow healthy rice-seedlings, he pointed out, stressing the need to strictly abide by the scientific and technological principles in preparing rice seedbeds and sowing.
Next day, he convened an enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pyongyang City Party Committee to awake the officials to the scientific principles to be observed in setting the right soil for rice seedbed and growing rice-seedlings.
In this way Kim Il Sung in his lifetime had worked heart and soul for the country’s farming to bring greater happiness to the people.
