Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) — The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association released a statement on May 8 responding to the appeal of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea.
The statement said:
The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association positively supports the appeal sent by the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea to foreign organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people on the occasion of the 20th demise anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people.
We will inaugurate a Nigerian national committee for remembering President Kim Il Sung and organize colorful events including meeting, film show and photo exhibition to widely introduce his brilliant revolutionary career and immortal exploits.
We will take an active part in an international Internet seminar on the great career and immortal exploits of the President to be held late in June or early in July.
The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association will as ever praise the President on several occasions and extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle for building a thriving nation and reunifying the country true to the noble intention of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.
