Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, gave a field guidance to the newly-built Youth Movement Museum.
He, together with officials, paid a tribute to the full-length statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il among youths and children in the general hall of the museum.
Looking at the statues of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for a while, Kim Jong Un said it is the first time to erect the color statues of the great leaders among youths and children. The statues well show the true picture of our society in which the leader and the masses have become a harmonious whole, he added with pleasure.
Then he went round show-rooms, a room for revolutionary historic mementoes and other places of the museum.
He said that photos of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu and historic data and mementoes in the show-rooms, arranged in order of every annals of the Korean revolution, are the most valuable national treasure, the eternal asset of the revolution which cannot be bartered for anything.
What is the core in the history of the great leaders’ guidance over the youth movement is that they had always put forward the young people as the heroes of the times with deep trust in them, he said, noting that under their wise guidance and loving care the Korean youths could cover the glorious road, glorifying the annals of the revolution with heroic feats and shining victories.
Thanks to the wise leadership and undying feats of the great leaders who set a brilliant example of the youth movement, foreseeing the protracted nature of the revolution and regarding the youth issue as the important strategic issue decisive of rise and fall of the country and as the most important national priority, our Party could perfectly settle the youth issue, inconceivable in any age and any other country, and build the one and only youth power in the world, he said, adding: This is our great pride.
The museum comprehends the history of the Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il youth movement, he said, stressing the need to build up the ranks of lecturers and steadily improve their ability and operate the museum under a meticulous plan in order to conduct an effective education through it.
Expressing his great satisfaction over the fact that the museum has been well built to clearly show the great leaders’ history of guidance over the youth movement and their undying feats for the development of the youth movement and the history of the Korean youths who have covered the road of loyalty following the Party, he highly appreciated the High-speed Youth Shock Brigade for having successfully carried out the militant task given by the Party.
He gave an instruction on the completion of the Youth Movement Museum, expressing conviction that its officials and lecturers would creditably discharge their honorable duty.
Accompanying him were Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Il Hwan, Jo Yong Won and Kim Yo Jong.
