Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) — The Ryuwon Shoes Factory in the DPRK has achieved a signal success in the production of new varieties of shoes in the efforts to help improve the people’s standard of living.
In response to the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy of regarding the improvement of the people’s standard of living as the most important state affair, the factory has channeled big efforts into developing world-famous products and commodities with a competitive edge.
In this regard, Im Ui Ung, chief engineer of the factory, told KCNA that the factory newly built more scientific and technological forces specializing in developing new products.
They are technicians and skilled workers well versed in knowledge and technical skills in shoes production.
The factory has built computer-aided designing process for the production of new varieties of sports shoes and is operating dozens of equipment.
On the basis of the inquiry made into the shapes and fashions favored by customers, its technicians have succeeded in developing new varieties of shoes.
Diverse patterns and designs of shoes were completed in the first 20 days of the New Year. As a result, samples of shoes have been produced to contribute to increasing the varieties of shoes and making them diverse and multi-color.
Last year it completed more than 150 shoes designs, nearly 70 of which were put into production.
Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the factory in mid-January last year and learned in detail about the development of new varieties of shoes there. He advanced the tasks to produce shoes favored by customers and those symbolic of it and impeccable at foreign markets.
