S. Korean Bodies Press on Erecting Girl Statues for Peace

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) — A campaign for erecting girl statues for peace is taking place in south Korea as part of protest actions against the Japanese authorities’ moves to cover up the past crimes related to sexual slavery, according to MBC of south Korea.

The committee for pressing on girl statues for peace to be erected by the rising generation said it would set up the second girl statue for peace outside the Japanese consulate in Pusan till August 15 in order to set right Japan’s wrong understanding of history.
It was reported that the first girl statue for peace in Pusan will be erected at a park with March 1 as a momentum.
