Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) — An article titled “It is a matter of time for the U.S. to go to ruin just like the case of Pueblo” was posted on the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo on Jan. 24.
The article said that Jan. 23 marks the 48th anniversary of the case in which a touch-and-go situation was created between the DPRK and the U.S. due to the former’s capture of the latter’s armed spy ship Pueblo.
In recent days the DPRK has noted that the final failure of the U.S. hostile policy toward it is a matter of time, warning the U.S. that it would meet a final doom, if it makes another reckless provocation against the DPRK, far from drawing a bitter lesson from the history of the bilateral relations.
The article stressed that when viewing the DPRK’s recent proposal for concluding a peace treaty in linkage with the lesson taught by the case of Pueblo, it is little short of warning that the U.S. earliest possible signing of the peace treaty is beneficial to its national interests but any delay would bring more shameful fiasco to it.
