Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) — Service personnel, working people and school youth and children paid tribute to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and portraits of the smiling great leaders across the country on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
Seen standing before the statues on Mansu Hill was a floral basket sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the names of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) and the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces, and institutions, industrial establishments, farms and schools here, and bouquets and flowers.
The visitors paid tribute to the statutes.
Floral baskets, bouquets and flowers were laid before the statues of the great leaders and the portraits of the smiling leaders in various places of the city including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, Ministry of People’s Security and the Mansudae Art Studio in the names of units of the KPA, institutions and enterprises.
Servicepersons, officials, working people and school youth and children across the country visited the statues of the great leaders and the portraits of the smiling leaders in their residential areas.
