Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — The permanent representative of the People’s Solidarity for Implementing June 15, October 4 Declarations of south Korea made public an appeal calling upon the candidates for the 20th “National Assembly” to commit themselves to the implementation of the inter-Korea declarations on April 11.
The appeal said that the political camp failed to set forth ways of averting the danger of a nuclear war mounting on the Korean peninsula and lifting the people from destitution.
It said full implementation of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the great programmes for independent reunification, peace and prosperity, can thwart the outsiders’ attempt for a war and protect the life of the nation.
Noting that reopening of the Kaesong Industrial Zone and tour of Mt. Kumgang are a shortcut to improving people’s deteriorated living, the appeal demanded the candidates for the “National Assembly” commit to the issues.
