Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — Members of the south Korean preparatory committee for the “World Disarmament Action Day” made public a statement at the Kwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on April 5 denouncing the authorities’ increase of military expenditure, according to the south Korean News 1.
The statement said arms expenditure of south Korea came the tenth in the world list while the one for the people’s livelihood came last.
In 2014 arms import topped the world list, an amount enough for paying prime pension for 70 percent of the old people every month.
It stressed the need for the 20th “National Assembly” not to use taxes as military expenditure but to use it for improving the living of common people.
