Day of Sun Observed by Organs of German, British Political Parties

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) — Organs of German and British political parties carried special write-ups to observe the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun).

The April issue of Rote Fahne, the organ of the German Communist Party, carried an article titled “Model internationalist” illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung.
The article gave an account of the fact that in 1949 Stalin, the then leader of the party and people of the Soviet Union, praised Kim Il Sung as a genuine proletarian internationalist who devotedly defended the Soviet Union with arms from the imperialist aggression in the East.
Kim Il Sung, despite the difficult situation where there were neither support from a regular army nor state-backing home front during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, defended the Soviet Union with arms, sincerely helped the Chinese revolution and gave material and moral support to peoples of various countries in their struggle to put an end to the imperialists’ domination and intervention and to achieve national liberation, the article noted, adding:
20 odd years have passed since his demise but he is always remembered by world progressives as a model of genuine internationalists.
The April 1st issue of The New Worker, the organ of the New Communist Party of Britain, allotted its two full pages to special write-ups illustrated with his photos.
It said that he performed matchlessly great exploits for global independence.
