Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) — Sports villages are being built in Pyongyang and every province of the DPRK.
According to Ri Kyong Il, a department director of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the construction aims to stir up enthusiasm for sports among people and further develop sports techniques.
In Pyongyang City, a sports village is taking its shape on the bank of the Pothong River, he said, adding: The village is planned to have an indoor stadium, football ground, lodging quarter for sportspersons, etc.
Similar villages are under construction in Chongjin, Hamhung, Hyesan, Sinuiju and other provincial seats.
Meanwhile, Nampho City has pushed ahead with remodeling the existing sports village.
