DPRK Skaters Prove Successful in Int’l Game

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) — DPRK skaters proved successful at the 2016 ISU World Development Trophy Short-Track Speed Skating Tournament held in Australia on April 17.

The tournament brought together more than 80 men and women skaters from 11 countries and regions including the DPRK, New Zealand, Argentina, Singapore and Malaysia.
DPRK players bagged two trophies, four gold medals and two silver medals.
Choe Kyong Hwa (female) placed first in 500m and 1,000m events in juvenile division III and Pang Ri Hyang (female) in 500m and 1,000m events in juvenile division IV.
Meanwhile, Ri Kwang Jin (male) placed second in 500m and 1,000m events in juvenile division II.
