Day of Sun Observed in Foreign Countries

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) — Meetings, photo and book exhibitions and film shows took place in Cuba, Laos, Britain and Ecuador from April 7 to 11 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the exploits of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Also displayed there were their works, and books and photos introducing the army and people of the DPRK dashing ahead forward the final victory in the drive for building a thriving nation.
The participants of the film shows watched Korean films “Grand Celebration of 70th Founding Anniversary of Workers’ Party of Korea in Presence of Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un”, “Eternal Treasures in Praise of the Great Men” and “Newly-Built Structures”.
Juan Jose Leon Vega, first vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea’s Reunification, said that Kim Il Sung achieved the historic cause of liberating the country and led to victory the three year-long war ignited by the U.S. imperialists.
He praised Kim Il Sung for turning the DPRK into a power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence by wisely leading the postwar rehabilitation and construction and socialist revolution and thus making an immortal contribution to the cause of global independence.
Michael Chant, general secretary of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxis-Leninist), lauded Kim Il Sung as the great revolutionary and invincible and iron-willed commander who defeated the U.S. and Japanese imperialists in one generation.
Milton Burbano Bohorquez, chairman of the Ecuadorian Cultural Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, stressed that Kim Il Sung is always alive in the hearts of the Korean people and world progressive people for his exploits.
