S. Korean Workers Vow to Carry on Their Actions

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) — Workers of the Metal Workers Trade Unions of south Korea held a meeting for “denouncing the Yusong enterprise, the criminal group destroying the trade union, and commemorating the victory of Martyr Han Kwang Ho” in Seoul on April 27.

That day the security authorities hurled armed police into throwing multi-cordon around the Seoul office of the enterprise, creating a terror-ridden atmosphere from the start of the meeting.
Speakers said at the meeting that 42 days have passed since Han Kwang Ho, a worker of the Yusong enterprise in Yongdong of North Chungchong Province, committed suicide in protest against the moves to disorganize the trade union and the crackdown on it by the enterprise management.
They demanded that the enterprise management apologize to the victim and workers, punish those responsible and opt for stopping the moves to destroy the trade union and give assurances against the recurrence of the suppression, declaring they would carry on their actions till the grudge of the dead is settled.
