Japanese Organizations Accuse Government of Independent Sanctions against DPRK

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) — 13 Japanese organizations including the Japan Committee for the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the Japan-Korea Society for Scientific and Educational Interchange, the All-Japan Construction and Transport Solidarity Trade Union and the Tokyo Fact-Finding Group for the Probe into the Truth about the Forcible Drafting of Koreans made public a joint statement on April 6 in denunciation of the government’s independent sanctions against the DPRK.

The statement said the Japanese government’s independent sanctions against the DPRK under the pretext of its satellite launch and others is the threat to peace of Northeast Asia and wanton violation of human rights of Koreans in Japan.
It said that the government’s independent sanctions against the DPRK have faced bitterer accusations from the international community.
The sanctions are worsening the frozen ties between Japan and the DPRK, the statement noted, demanding the government lift the independent sanctions and improve the relations with the DPRK true to the Japan-DPRK Pyongyang declaration and Stockholm agreement.
