Senior Party, State Officials Join Workers in Marking May Day

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) — Senior party and state officials joined working people in various parts of the country in marking May Day.

Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior officials of the party and power bodies visited the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill, the State Academy of Sciences, construction site of the stockbreeding base in the Sepho area, the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, the Unhung Co-op Farm in Thaechon County and other institutions, industrial establishments, construction sites and farms to congratulate the workers, agricultural workers and intellectuals on the holiday.
They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, pictures showing their beaming images and mosaics depicting them and paid tribute to them.
Leading officials of the party and state and those in different parts of the country met and encouraged innovators.
They joined working people in such diverse sports and amusement games as tug of war and enjoyed art performances.
They requested all the working people to fully display the spirit and mettle of working people of Songun Korea in bringing earlier the final victory of the great Paektusan nation.
