DPRK Introduced by Russian Media

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) — The Eastern Siberian Publishing House of Irkutsk Region of Russia posted an article titled “Self-development of DPRK” on its website on April 21 in the run-up to the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The article said:
The word “self-development” is often heard from the DPRK these days.
It means the power which makes oneself strong.
The DPRK’s self-development is based on the Juche idea.
The Juche idea which was founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed by Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il means, in a word, the idea that man is the master of his own destiny and has the capacity to hew out it.
The Korean people have advanced the revolution and construction, guided by the Juche idea.
One must not forget that the Korean people have achieved all victories and successes entirely by their own efforts despite the ceaseless blockade and sanctions of the U.S. and its followers.
The Korean people are by no means the one yielding to sanctions or pressure.
They are such people who make redoubled efforts as the outside forces increase pressure upon the DPRK and give fuller rein to the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude as the situation gets difficult.
The Korean people holding aloft the banner of self-development-first principle will surely accomplish the cause of building a thriving nation by their own efforts and with their own technology and resources.
