Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) — Kim Il Sung Prize and Kim Jong Il Prize were awarded to the Korean song “We Are the Happiest in the World” on the threshold of the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
The Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly promulgated a relevant decree on Thursday.
The song is the eternal hymn praising the leader, song of thanks to the great WPK and paean of socialism as it deals with the true picture of the DPRK forming a great harmonious family with the great leader as their father and happiness of the Korean people enjoying a worthwhile life under the care of the WPK.
The decree said that the service personnel and people of the DPRK have made a long journey of the revolution with victory and glory weathering stern trials under the guidance of the great leaders and the great party while singing the song for over half a century. Now they are dynamically advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism with the great national pride and honor of holding Marshal Kim Jong Un as the leader and father of the people in high esteem, the decree noted.
The song “We Are the Happiest in the World” is the most famous one which could be created in socialist Korea and enthusiastically sung by the Korean people only, it said, stressing that the song represents cheers of hurrah for socialism as it will always resound far and wide down through generations with tremendous vitality.
