Federation of Koreans in the U.S. Supports Policy of National Reunification Set Forth at Seventh Congress of WPK

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) — A spokesman for the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. made a statement on May 10 in support of the policy of the country’s reunification supreme leader Kim Jong Un set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The statement said:
The country’s reunification is the desire of all Koreans and the policy of the country’s reunification set forth at the Seventh Congress of the WPK is in line with the ardent aspiration of the nation.
The Korean nation has the wounds resulting from the division and confrontation with compatriots caused by the unreasonable interference by outside forces not healed yet.
There should not be any more war on this land and the north and the south should get united without fail in order to achieve peaceful reunification.
Achieving national independence, great national unity and peace and realizing federal formula are a reasonable proposal acceptable to any Korean and a universally accepted offer which the progressives of the world can support.
The Korean nation has such great reunification programmes as the July 4 joint statement and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
The statement fully supported and approved the policy of the country’s reunification which reflects the nation’s will of opposing a war and hoping for independent reunification.
