S. Korean Body Slams Authorities’ Anti-labor Policy

Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) — The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions issued a statement on May 12 to denounce the authorities’ anti-labor policy.

The statement accused the minister of Employment and Labor of holding a press conference that day at which he underlined the need to reform the wage system into one based on piece rate, talking about legal duty.
It censured the regime for illegally and coercibly demanding public organs introduce the wage system based on piece rate.
Lurking behind this is a scenario to cut down wages of individual workers and disable trade unions, it charged.
