Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) — The State Invention Office marked the 70th anniversary of its founding.
President Kim Il Sung founded the State Invention Office on May 20, Juche 35 (1946), clearly indicating the road for it to follow and laying a firm foundation for intensifying the work for inventions and technical findings through his energetic guidance.
Leader Kim Jong Il wisely led the office to make a positive contribution to the development of the nation’s science and technology.
Over the past 70 years, the office has developed into a state invention administrative organ equipped with a doctoral institute training experts in intellectual property, a well-organized system for examining and recording inventions and patents and a huge database for domestic and foreign inventions and patents under the leadership and warm care of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu. As a result, it has creditably discharged its revolutionary mission for stepping up the building of a sci-tech power.
A meeting took place on Thursday.
