People in Pusan Protest against U.S. Moves for Biochemical Warfare

Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) — People from all walks of life in Pusan, south Korea launched protest actions against the moves of the U.S. imperialist forces for a biochemical warfare, according to Yonhap News and News 1 of south Korea.

The Pusan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the Pusan Solidarity of Citizens’ Movement Organizations, the Pusan Association of Women’s Organizations, Pusan People’s Solidarity and other civic and public organizations and political parties held a press conference outside the U.S. consulate in Pusan on May 19.
Speakers there denounced the U.S. for deciding to introduce Jupiter Plan for a bio-chemical warfare to the facilities of the U.S. forces at Dock 8 of Pusan Port.
They stressed the need for all the citizens to pool their efforts to check the U.S. moves for a bio-chemical warfare.
They demanded the present “government” and the Ministry of Defense stand by the people, though belatedly, and strongly counter the U.S. biochemical test and the Pusan City authorities regard citizens’ security and lives as the top priority and oppose the introduction of the “Jupiter Plan.
The Pusan People for Achieving Peace and Reunification staged a demonstration in demand of the withdrawal of the plan at the dock on May 15.
