Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) — It is a very important issue at present to foil the enemy’s ideological and cultural infiltration, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in an article.
It goes on:
The imperialists have become evermore undisguised in their reactionary ideological and cultural offensive to dampen the independent aspiration of the people and stamp out the cause of socialism.
The imperialists’ ideological and cultural infiltration is aimed to spread reactionary and corrupt bourgeois ideology, culture, life style and trend among different countries and benumb the people’s sound ideological and class consciousness.
The imperialists are more afraid of the politically awakened people’s strength in dominating and plundering other countries. The people who are awakened in the class principle and firmly prepared politically and ideologically remain strong and with nothing can the imperialists bring them to submission.
They are keen on infiltrating the bourgeois ideology and culture in a bid to benumb the independent consciousness of the people.
If one slackens one’s vigilance even a moment, one is bound to be tainted with this. Once one is taken in by the above-said ideology and culture, one can hardly get rid of them. Herein lies poison as harmful as drug of the imperialists’ ideology and culture.
If one fails to clearly understand the reactionary nature and danger of the imperialists’ ideological and cultural infiltration and approach them with vigilance, one is bound to face inescapable grave consequences.
Historical facts teach a bitter lesson that if one fails to approach the imperialists’ ideological and cultural infiltration with vigilance, the gains of revolution already made are bound to collapse like a wet wall in a moment.
The article calls for smashing the imperialists’ persistent and vicious ideological and cultural poisoning with a revolutionary ideological and cultural offensive in order to preserve the popular masses’ cause of independence and the cause of socialism and make a victorious advance.
