Lifting of “May 24 Step” Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) — Members of Headquarters of the Movement for Reunified Korean Nation staged a demo one by one across south Korea, urging the south Korean authorities to lift the “May 24 step” six years since the step was taken.

The demos were staged in more than 40 places such as Kwanghwamun of Seoul and before the buildings of the “government” and “National Assembly” and in Pusan, Taejon, Ulsan, North Kyongsang and South Kyongsang provinces.
They said that only when the south and the north cooperate with each other is it possible to develop economy and ensure peace on the Korean peninsula.
The “government” should roll back its confrontational policy and opt for dialogue with the north, they stressed.
