Hamhung, June 1 (KCNA) — “Sonyon” (child) multiple rocket launchers provided by the schoolchildren across the country through their do-good-thing movement were presented to the People’s Army on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union.
A presentation ceremony took place at Hamhung Square on Wednesday.
Attending it were officials concerned, schoolchildren in Hamhung City and service personnel of the People’s Army.
Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a speech to be followed by schoolchildren and a soldier of the Korean People’s Army.
Jon and other speakers said that the above-said multiple rocket launchers reflect the firm faith and warm patriotism of the schoolchildren across the country to build a socialist power on this land at any cost by carrying forward the cause of the Juche revolution and the cause of the Songun revolution started in Mt. Paektu under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
They called upon the participants to acquire a wealth of knowledge and firmly train their bodies and minds through hard study, successful organizational life and sports activities and prepare themselves as soldiers of Kim Jong Un, bearing in mind that the warmest patriotism is expressed in defending the country.
At the end of the ceremony the multiple rocket launchers left for KPA units amid the warm send off by schoolchildren and working people.
