S. Korean Authorities’ Anti-Reunification Move under Fire

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) — Ri Chang Bok, permanent representative of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, denounced the puppet authorities for checking the reunification movement, in his lecture given at the meeting room of the South Kyongsang Provincial Headquarters of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions on June 9, according to the south Korean online paper Oh My News.

He said the authorities disallowed the attendance of a south side delegation at the June 15 national event.
He held that the authorities are obstructing the national event, prompted by their anti-reunification way of thinking, adding that, therefore, they shut down the Kaesong Industrial Zone which served as a link in the inter-Korean relations, and are pressurizing the north.
But nothing can halt the reunification movement and it represents the destiny of the nation and its task, he noted.
He underscored the need to create an atmosphere for inter-Korean dialogue and a DPRK-U.S. dialogue to defuse the tension on the Korean peninsula.
