Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) — Preparations for the Wonsan Air Festival-2016 to be held in September are getting brisk in the DPRK.
The preparatory committee of the festival, involving experts at home and abroad, was organized some days ago.
According to Ri Sing Ryol, vice-chairman of the preparatory committee, warplanes and passenger planes were chosen for successful aeronautic demonstration and air trip.
Preparations for diverse sports and cultural events are on steady progress as scheduled. They include art performance, evening gala of youth and students, demonstration by members of the Pyongyang Air Club and DPRK-made beer fair.
Kalma Airport and Haean Square and other parts of Wonsan City are furnished with decorations and lighting appliances. And posters with the theme of the festival are being created.
The festival, the first of its kind in the DPRK, draws worldwide attention. Well-known foreign air sportspersons and fans expressed their willingness to take part in the festival.
