Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) — Civic and public organizations of south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held the 200th anti-U.S. meeting outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on June 14.
They expressed their will to carry on the dynamic struggle in demand of the revision of the unequal south Korea-U.S. “status of forces agreement” and the return of the territory occupied by the U.S. military base in Ryongsan.
The north’s bolstering of its nuclear deterrent is to cope with the U.S hostile policy, they noted, adding that the denuclearization on the Korean peninsula is possible only when a peace agreement is concluded.
They stressed the need to defuse the danger of a nuclear war on the peninsula through the conclusion of a peace agreement.
