Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) — The service personnel and people of the DPRK significantly celebrated the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) on Sunday.
Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and portraits of the smiling great leaders on Mansu Hill and in other parts of the country.
Performances were given by national art troupes at theatres in Pyongyang.
The concert “Fly High, Our Party Flag” was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre, the revolutionary opera “Victory of the Revolution Is in Sight” at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the newly produced dance suite “Our Golden Country” by the National Folk Art Troupe at the Ponghwa Art Theatre and the drama “Blood Vessel” at the National Theatre.
Diverse jugglery pieces were staged by the National Circus to the delight of spectators.
Hymns praising the great men and the WPK resounded forth at theatres in local areas.
