Action of Advancing to U.S. Embassy in Seoul Staged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) — Members of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy in south Korea staged an action of advancing to the U.S. embassy in Seoul on June 20.

Holding the placard “U.S. forces, leave with anthrax germ!” they staged a stubborn action outside the U.S. embassy while shouting slogans “Sign peace agreement between north Korea and the U.S.!” “Park Geun Hye Regime, resign as it tramples down human rights and disturbs democracy!” and “Stop to suppression of Korea Solidarity!” and distributing copies of literature.
They said the U.S. is to blame for the division of the nation and the danger of war.
The U.S. has introduced even Zika virus in the wake of anthrax germ into south Korea to test them, they said, adding that no elementary human rights and democracy can be expected as long as this land is under the occupation of GIs.
The suppression of those struggling for peace and reunification and human rights abuses have become more pronounced since Park Geun Hye took power, they charged.
That day the riot police took away the members of the Korea Solidarity.
At present they are staging strong protest with silence and hunger strike in demand of the provision of the freedom of expression and their immediate release.
