Production with Locally Available Materials Encouraged

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) — A dynamic drive is under way to produce foodstuffs and consumer goods with locally available materials in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

Amid the reconstruction of six foodstuff factories, including the Pyongyang Vegetable Processing Factory and Songyo Foodstuff Factory, being pushed forward, measures have been taken to supply foodstuff factories with materials on a regular basis.
Efforts are being paid to establishing a sugar cane processing line as well as to building the Pyongyang Bag Factory with a capacity of hundreds of thousands of rucksacks.
It has been promoted to raise the proportion of locally available materials in producing school things with the completion of a line for making eraser with vinyl chloride.
The Taedonggang Paint Factory was recently equipped with new facilities.
A production process based on anthracite gasification made its appearance at the Songyo Ceramic Factory and the Pyongyang Ceramic Factory is being remodeled.
And the work to develop world-famous products and commodities is getting momentum.
