Candlelight Action for Independence, Democracy, Reunification Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) — The Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea held a Thursday meeting in Seoul on December 8, calling for staging a candlelight action for independence, democracy and reunification, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.

Speakers said at the meeting that the candlelight action should be staged to greet a new era of independence, democracy and reunification when the old system is overthrown, the “Security Law” abolished and all prisoners of conscience are released and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration implemented.
They demanded the resignation of the Park Geun Hye regime, the withdrawal of the decision on the THAAD deployment and the repeal of the SL.
