Stamps Issued to Observe 5th Anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s Demise

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) — The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK issued new stamps (two sheets) to commemorate the fifth anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Seen on the upper part of the stamps are letters reading “The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will always be with us.”
One stamp carries a benevolent image of Kim Jong Il standing against Mt. Paektu with a bright smile on his face. It makes one recall the revolutionary career of him who dedicated all his life to the country and the people.
Kimjongilia and magnolias in full bloom depicted on its lower part reflect the Korean army and people’s ardent reverence for him as well as their strong will to hold him in high esteem as the sun of Juche Korea for all ages.
Another stamp shows Kim Jong Il among workers and officials, who indicated the orientation and ways for further developing the independent national economy, associated with the whole life of President Kim Il Sung, to meet the demands of the IT era, the era of knowledge-based economy.
