Detention of Park and Release of Prisoners of Conscience Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) — Members of civic and public organizations in south Korea including workers, religionists and artistes held an “evening of solidarity” in Seoul on Dec. 15, in demand of detention of Park Geun Hye and release of the prisoners of conscience, according to the online newspaper Voice of People.

The participants said that sentencing the chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions to a heavy penalty on the charge of spearheading an all-out people’s action is an unreasonable crackdown and absurd action.
They held that the judicial authorities brandishing bayonets to hurt guiltless people should clearly know the fact that the people are the master of this land and immediately detain Park and set free the prisoners of conscience.
Then, they conducted information activities calling for an end to the scandals of the Park regime.
