Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) — Fishery stations in the east coastal area of the DPRK are making good hauls through fishing campaign started from early November.
One of them is the Thongchon Fishery Station which netted 1.8 times more fish year-on-year in November and early December this year. The station is now catching scores of tons of fish on a daily basis in recent days.
In this regard, Ri Yong Jin, manager of the station, told KCNA:
The station has correctly commanded ships in this fishing campaign. All ships are well equipped with fishing tackles like gill-net and wall-net and communication means to raise fishing efficiency.
And the improvement of lighting apparatuses and winch capacity makes it possible to double the amount of catch per netting and ship.
