S. Korean Paper Demands Truth behind Dissolution of Unified Progressive Party

Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) — The south Korean online paper Voice of People Tuesday posted an editorial on the lapse of two years since the Unified Progressive Party was forcibly dissolved.

At a time when the motion on impeachment of Park Geun Hye was passed, restoring democracy is the most important social task and no one can talk about democracy unless the probe into the truth behind the dissolution of the party and punishment of those affiliated to it are made, the editorial said, adding;
As disclosed by a memorandum released by the former chief secretary for Civil Administration of Chongwadae, the dissolution of the party was the product of plot hatched by the former presidential chief of staff of Chongwadae and the director of the “constitutional court”.
It stressed that for restoring democracy positive solidarity of all progressive and democratic forces is urgently required.
