Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) — Art performances were given at theatres in Pyongyang and provinces of the DPRK to celebrate the 25th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il’s assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People’s Army and the 99th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, the anti-Japanese war heroine.
A revolutionary opera “Victory of the Revolution Is in Sight” was given by the Phibada Opera Troupe at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre and a drama “Blood Vessel” at the National Theatre. The drama represents the struggle of the cement producers in Sangwon who successfully hit the production goal by giving definite priority to the science and technology.
Circus and magic performances by the National Circus instilled optimism into the working people and school youth and children.
Similar celebration performances were also witnessed in provinces of the country.
