KCTU Declares General Strike

Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) — The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held rallies in Seoul and 10 other parts of south Korea on March 29 all at once to declare a general strike for building a new society where working masses become master and equal society, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

The KCTU stated it would launch a social general strike on June 30 for the lowest wage increase, abolition of part-time job, dismissal of plutocrat-system and total amendment of the “labor law”.
A resolution was read out.
The resolution stressed that the organization would bring spring without Park Geun Hye, new people’s spring by meeting the requirements of the workers and the mindset of the candlelight action.
