DPRK Book, Photo and Art Exhibition Opens in China

Beijing, April 9 (KCNA Correspondent) — A DPRK book, photo and art exhibition was opened in Beijing of China on April 9 to celebrate the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed at its venue were photos showing the careers and feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
And there were works of the brilliant great persons of Mt Paektu, books, photos and stamps introducing the reality of the DPRK, the five thousand year-long history of Korea and its culture and art works associated with creative talents of the Korean people.
The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.
Speeches were made at its opening ceremony.
The director of the Korean Overseas Exhibition General Bureau said that Kim Il Sung who made great contribution to the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence is the father of socialist Korea and the eternal sun of Juche.
He expressed expectation that the exhibition would offer a good occasion in strengthening various cultural exchange and cooperation between the two peoples.
The chairman of the Sino-DPRK Stamp Society and other figures noted that Kim Il Sung who liberated the country and built a powerful socialist sate is the great leader of the Korean people.
They referred to the reality of the DPRK greeting a new era of prosperity in building a socialist power under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
The participants watched a Korean documentary film “Prosperous Pyongyang”.
The exhibition will last until April 15.
