21st Seminar of World Political Parties Held in Mexico

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — The 21st seminar of political parties of the world on building a new society took place in Mexico from Mar. 23 to 25.

Present there were personages from political parties of Mexico and delegations and delegates of more than 130 political parties and organizations from 35 countries including the DPRK.
Congratulatory addresses were made and a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea read out to be followed by speeches.
The head of the DPRK delegation affirmed that this year marking the 25th anniversary of the Pyongyang Declaration, the WPK would constantly adhere to the spirit of the Declaration and strive to defend and victoriously advance the socialist cause in solidarity with the world progressive political parties which stand against aggression and war, domination and subjugation and aspire after the building of a righteous and independent, new society.
The national leader of the Workers’ Party of Mexico, the general secretary of the Motherland Party for All of Venezuela, the international secretary of the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland), a delegate of the Workers’ World Party of the United States of America and other speakers expressed full support to the Korean army and people in the struggle to smash every anti-DPRK move of the U.S. and its followers by beefing up the nuclear deterrent for self-defense.
A solidarity resolution was adopted in support of the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people at the seminar.
The resolution highly appreciated the eye-opening successes made by the WPK and the people in the all-out general offensive to implement the decision of the Seventh Congress of the WPK and reaffirmed the will to hold fast to the spirit of the historic Pyongyang Declaration and hold higher the banner of socialism.
It appealed to all the world progressive political parties and organizations to further step up the solidarity movement supporting the struggle of the WPK and the Korean people.
