All-People Committee to Mark 70th Anniversary of Jeju April 3 Incident Formed in S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — South Koreans from all walks of life formed an all-people committee for commemorating the 70th anniversary of Jeju April 3 Incident in Seoul on April 8 to probe the truth behind the massacre of the participants in the Jeju April 3 Popular Uprising and settle the historic task, according to the south Korean News 1.

At the inaugural ceremony speakers said that they would struggle for probing the truth behind the Jeju April 3 incident, U.S. apology for massacres committed under the U.S. military rule, the regime’s reparation for the victims and the bereaved families and amendment of the special law on the Jeju April 3 resistance.
They declared that they would strive to find a solution to the problem concerning the Jeju April 3 incident in solidarity with all forces including political camp, civic, public and academic circles.
