Matriculation Ceremony of Korean University Held

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — A matriculation ceremony of Korean University, run by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), for Juche 106 (2017) took place at the university hall in Tokyo on April 10.

Present at the ceremony were senior officials of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, new students of the university and their parents, teaching staff and students of the university and other Koreans in Japan.
Congratulatory messages from the Education Commission and different universities of the DPRK and Chongryon organs at all levels were read out at the ceremony.
Chairman Ho Jong Man of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee in his congratulatory speech said respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has led to shining victory the standoff with the U.S., the cause of national reunification and the building of a socialist power with his brilliant wisdom and outstanding leadership ability and wisely steered the movement of Koreans in Japan on a higher stage as required by the new era of the Juche cause.
Noting that the new students are the future main players in the movement of Koreans in Japan, he stressed the need for them to prepare themselves as distinguished able persons with Juche character and national character who are knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy through the university life.
He expressed the firm belief that the newcomers would grow to be reliable native cadres and able talents successfully carrying forward the patriotic tradition.
Jang Pyong Thae, rector of Korean University, made a report which was followed by speeches.
