Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — A performance was given on Mangyong Hill Wednesday by successful folk song contesters of art groups of schoolchildren’s palaces and halls in celebration of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
It was enjoyed by Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, officials of the youth league, officials concerned and school youth and children.
The performance began with chorus “Day of Sun Is Eternal Thanks to Marshal”. Its numbers included series of songs “We Sing of Mangyongdae”, male vocal solo “The Last Born” and trio “Sea of Apples at Foot of Chol Pass”.
The performers represented the deep yearning for Kim Il Sung who put forward the children as king of the country and brought a rosy future to the younger generation with warm loving care in his lifetime.
Also staged were numbers depicting the children who are bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom under the warm care of the Party.
