Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) — The 32nd national sci-tech festival took place in the DPRK with the attendance of Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, ministries, national institutions, scientific research and educational organs and over 300 units which proved successful at provincial (municipal) sci-tech festivals.
The theme of the festival was the development of the ultra-modern technology and integration of science and technology with production.
Presented to the festival were more than 500 sci-tech achievements.
Automatic feeding machine, fishing control system, nationwide integrated power control system, “Jipsam-2” medium-sized bus, vacuum casting method based on combustion of foamed-plastic mold and other exhibits convinced visitors that it is quite possible to speed up the building of a socialist power with the might of self-development.
The festival served as an important occasion in promoting this year’s general offensive to open up the bright prospect for implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development and thus develop the overall economy onto a higher plane.
